This of course needs enough Bross to burn on Supplies, which initially means smelting Scrap in Avernum, and gathering it from everywhere else, also taking up cargo slots. Another thing crucial for an All-Mounted comitatus is Kal-rish Saddlebags, which can be commissioned in Crystal, and allow using fewer Mounts (and hence workers/slaves/fighters, with their consumption) for a given amount of cargo space (which can be used to carry Supplies). You need enough riderless Mounts left after workers/slaves/fighters, to carry Companions and Passengers and such. These things together enable an All-Mounted comitatus, otherwise you wouldn't even be able to have a sufficiently greater number of Mounts than slaves/workers/fighters, which is necessary to get All-Mounted started. Which is what Wlerin just alluded to, in saying that Slaves are OP, it's possible to make one slave do significantly more work than one worker, specifically by increasing Intimidation. Intimidation and Engineering perks further reduce the number of workers, and it's easier to get high Intimidation than Engineering (equip some Terror Totems and Torture Devices). When you use Workers, Tools are also helpful, reducing the needed number of workers. When using Mounts, there are Traveling Saddles. (The workers/slaves/fighters have consumption of their own, thus reducing their number reduces consumption from those workers/slaves/fighters.) Chief Handler deputy (Eylani) is very helpful for this, on top of Protected Harnesses and Awnings. There are many things that directly reduce consumption and improve work efficiency, reducing the number of workers/slaves/fighters you need to bring along. ![]()
